A New Start

I’ll admit it.

I am terrible at keeping up on absolutely anything. I get distracted, forget, make excuses, etc…

Hence why any blog I’ve started never gets off the ground.

But this year, I’m resolving to change that.

I’m starting my last semester in college, filling my schedule with fun classes and only one or two that will actually be challenging. I don’t have classes on Friday(!) and I’m taking a beer and wine class. How cool is that! And then when I graduate, I’m taking a short trip to Europe to reward myself for all the stress I’ve put myself through — funded mostly by me, but subsidized slightly by my parents who encouraged me to travel with a more expensive tour instead of taking off on my own. On top of that, I’m moving across the state to a city I’ve been only once before, and where I know virtually no one.

All in the life of a young person, I suppose.

Last semester I took a creative writing class of my own volition.

My parents thought it was funny because most people don’t pick up writing classes for fun. Jokes on them though 🙂

I gained a lot of confidence through workshop and that really encouraged me to jump into putting my ideas on the page. So that’s where we are. Ready to actually do what I’ve been dreaming about for so long.

Let’s write a book!
